We are licensed by the City Council of Rochester-upon-Medway to keep an Animal Boarding Establishment (Act 1963).

We like to think our brick built kennels have the largest individual runs of any other similar establishment. We have various arrangements of kennel. Larger kennels able to accommodate up to three or four dogs depending on size, other kennels which can accommodate more than one dog but have separate feeding and / or sleeping quarters (in both these examples dogs would be from the same family, we never board dogs from different homes together), and of course individual kennels. In colder weather the kennels are heated (this is included in our inclusive rate).

Inoculations

Dogs must have had an annual booster inoculation during the previous 12 months which must contain protection against Para influenza. This will be administered by your veterinary surgeon.

MORE AND MORE VETERINARY PRACTICES ARE REPORTING AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF INSTANCES OF CANINE COUGH.

This unpleasant whooping cough-like disease can spread wherever dogs get together, and a single dog can cause an outbreak of the infection. We, now more than ever, advocate vaccination with Nobivac KC or Intrac to protect your dog form disease. There are vaccines available which protect against some of the other causes of canine cough. Please discuss this with your vet.

Although we do not insist as a condition of boarding either of these vaccinations PetPlan, our Insurers, will not consider claims for kennel cough on unprotected dogs.

ALL INOCULATIONS MUST BE GIVEN 7 DAYS BEFORE ANIMALS ENTER OUR PREMISES AND THE VETERINARY CERTIFICATE MUST BE PRODUCED FOR INSPECTION UPON ARRIVAL.

We hope you understand our reasons for this policy which is to minimise the risk of disease to animals in our care.

Illness

In the event of an animal becoming ill or distressed in any way treatment by a veterinary surgeon will be arranged immediately.
